Las Marietas Punta Mita: Condo Rental Guide

Las Marietas is Punta Mita’s largest residential condominium community, named for the Marietas Islands visible offshore — not to be confused with a trip out to the islands themselves (see our Islas Marietas & Hidden Beach guide for that). This is the residential community, inside the gates of Punta Mita, and it is a lower-maintenance way in for couples and smaller groups who want ocean views and resort access without a full estate. This guide covers the community and the condos we rent there.

Where is Las Marietas?

Las Marietas sits within the gated Punta Mita Resort, on elevated ground with ocean views out toward the islands the community is named for. It is a modern, condo-led development — open layouts, shared pools and landscaped common areas — and a short golf-cart ride to the beach clubs, golf and dining.

The condos

Most of our Las Marietas homes are three-bedroom condos, sleeping six to eight; two run larger — a four-bedroom penthouse sleeping thirteen and a five-bedroom penthouse sleeping eleven, the biggest footprints in the community. Most sit back from the water with ocean views; two are directly on the water, a beachfront penthouse and an oceanfront condo.

Who it is best for

Las Marietas suits couples and smaller groups who want a lock-and-leave stay with ocean views and full resort access, plus the two larger penthouses for families or small groups who want more room without stepping up to a private estate.

Beach and resort access

Most Las Marietas homes are elevated with ocean views rather than direct beach frontage; guests reach the sand through Punta Mita’s beach clubs. Two units — Casa Vista Marietas Penthouse and Oceanfront Marietas Condo 301E — are beachfront and oceanfront respectively. Golf, tennis and gym are available through the Punta Mita membership, with usage fees applying.
