Best Restaurants in Punta Mita: Resort, Beachfront & Town Dining

Dining in Punta Mita splits into three places. The resort restaurants are inside the gated peninsula at the Four Seasons and the St. Regis. Punta de Mita town, just outside the gate, has beachfront seafood restaurants along Avenida El Anclote. The beach clubs are open to villa guests. Where you eat each night mostly depends on whether you want to leave the gate, and on how many people you are feeding. A group of 16 often finds a dinner at the villa easier than finding one table for everyone.

Restaurants open, close and rename often here. Everything below was checked in October 2026, but call ahead or ask our concierge before you plan a special night around one table.

Beachfront dining in Punta de Mita town

The town of Punta de Mita sits on Avenida El Anclote, a beach road just outside the resort gate. It is the most relaxed dinner in the area: tables close to the sand, fresh seafood and lower prices than the resorts. Most villas are a short drive or golf-cart ride away. Read Punta Mita vs Punta de Mita if the two names are confusing.

  • Tuna Blanca: Chef Thierry Blouet’s restaurant at Hotel Des Artistes del Mar. Contemporary Mexican cooking and seafood, with tables on the sand. Dinner only, closed Mondays. This is the town’s most polished dinner, so reserve.
  • MINA: Mexican food and seafood on the beach at Hotel Mesón de Mita on El Anclote, in the space that was known as Si Señor.
  • Zicatela: Seafood in the style of Mexico’s southern Pacific coast, on El Anclote.
  • Lobster Paradise: Lobster and seafood with beach views, on El Anclote.
  • La Pescadora: A casual seafood spot on the same strip.
  • Rosa Mexicano: Mexican food on El Anclote, facing the beach.

Restaurants at the Four Seasons Punta Mita

The Four Seasons has the widest choice inside the gate:

  • Bahía: Steak and seafood on the sand.
  • Dos Catrinas: Mexican, on two floors with ocean views, open from breakfast to dinner.
  • Aramara: Asian-inspired cooking on an open-air ocean-view terrace.
  • Tamai: Plant-based Asian bowls and sushi, next to the spa.
  • Tail of the Whale Clubhouse: Mexican and American food at the golf course.

Bahía and Dos Catrinas take reservations through OpenTable. Book dinner ahead from December through April.

Restaurants at the St. Regis Punta Mita

  • Carolina: The resort’s signature dinner restaurant, with steaks and modern Mexican dishes.
  • Mita Mary: Seafood grilled on the beach, evenings Wednesday to Sunday.
  • Sakana: Nikkei (Japanese-Peruvian), adults only, lunch and afternoon.
  • Sea Breeze: Beach club and restaurant. Non-owners may face a minimum spend, so check before you go.

If you aren’t a hotel guest, confirm both the reservation and gate entry when you book.

Beach clubs with dining

Club Punta Mita’s beach clubs are where most villa guests have lunch on beach days. Access and fees depend on your villa and your membership, so read our guide to the Club Punta Mita access fee and our beach clubs guide first.

  • Pacifico Beach Club: Restaurant and bar from breakfast to dinner, with online reservations.
  • Kupuri Beach Club: Restaurant dining, and busy on weekends.
  • Sufi Ocean Club (Porta Fortuna): Mediterranean and Mexican food by the pool. It has no beach access.

Worth the drive

The resorts along the coast outside the Punta Mita gate are good for a special dinner out:

  • Conrad Punta de Mita: Codex, a Mexican tasting menu, and Mezquite, live-fire cooking by the beach.
  • W Punta de Mita: Spice Market and Venazú.

Sayulita, about half an hour north, has a far bigger casual dining scene. See things to do in Punta Mita.

Dining in at the villa

For large groups and families with young children, the best dinner is often at home. Some villas in our portfolio include a chef in the rate, with groceries billed separately. For the rest, we arrange a private chef on request, from one welcome dinner to every meal of the stay, quoted before you confirm. Reservations and timing

From December through April, reserve the resort restaurants and Tuna Blanca several days ahead, and earlier for holiday weeks. Most resort restaurants serve dinner from around 6pm. Town restaurants are mostly open from midday to late evening. Beach clubs usually take walk-ins on weekdays, but weekends fill up.
